Wilma Edna Bowling

Wilma Edna Bowling, age 97 of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025. She was born February 26, 1927 in Viva, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John Edward Gill and Julie Emma (Philpot) Gill. On August 9, 1949 in Manchester, Kentucky she married James Robert Bowling and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2009. Mrs. Bowling was a coal miner’s daughter and the matriarch of her family. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by eight siblings.

Mrs. Bowling is survived by her son Charles (Susan) Bowling; her daughter Darlene Day; three grandchildren, Robert (Erica) Day, Christian Bowling, and Evan (Amanda) Bowling; two great-grandchildren, Adrienne Day and Charlotte Bowling; one brother James (Mary) Gill; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield, Ohio on Monday January 13, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. www.websterfuneralhomes.com
