Wayne Whitacre

Wayne Whitacre age 86 of Fairfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday December 30, 2025. He was born April 8, 1939 in Wilmington, Ohio to the late Raymond and Georgia (Gould) Whitacre. Wayne was a devoted husband to his late wife Thelma of 62 years who passed away in 2021. Wayne loved his family more than anything and was also an avid reader, he always had a book in his hand. Wayne retired from Richard Industries as a machinist after 49 years. Wayne is survived by his three sons Daniel, Doug, and Darren Whitacre; one granddaughter Amanda Whitacre; and many nieces, nephews and other family. Wayne was also preceded in death by his brothers William and Wes Whitacre. The family will celebrate the life of Wayne at a later date. THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, Fairfield is serving the family.
