Walter J. Helms

Walter J. Helms age 74 of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Monday August 1, 2022 in the inpatient unit at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash. He was born January 14, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the son of the late Walter W. Helms and Edith M. (Biedeman) Helms. Mr. Helms was a graduate of the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics. He retired from Matrix Systems in Miamisburg in 2013 after 18 years as Vice-President. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Elizabeth “Betty” L. Helms (nee Sexton); children Michael P. “Mike” (Sarah Moore) Helms, Kathleen “Katie” M. Meyer (Nick Meyer), and Jeffrey “Jeff” R. Helms; grandchildren Ember Meyerhoff, Willow Helms, Jaxsun Helms, Colin Rosander, Evelyn Meyer, Barrett Meyer, and Kevin Helms; many nieces and nephews; and siblings Daniel H. Helms of Perkasie, PA., and the late Linda Lazowicki. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 13, 2022 from 4-7 PM in Daniel Hall at St. John Neumann Church, 12191 Mill Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45240. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated to Hospice of Cincinnati, 4310 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.
