Tennie Lay age 95, of Fairfield passed away Monday, December 11, 2023. She was born in Habersham, Tennessee to the late Matthew and Edith (nee Walden) Chiarini on October 2, 1928. She was married to the late love of her life, Rafe Lay who preceded her in death in 2020. Tennie was a member of Winton Road First Church of God. She had a loving heart and would feed anybody, including all the stray cats in the neighborhood. She is survived by her three children, Ellen (Bill) Sizemore, James (Paula) Lay, and Tony (fiancé Laura) Lay; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Juanita Bolton and Kathy Gillum. A visitation will be held at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Dennis Whitaker officiating.
