Scott Taylor Reuter, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully after a seven-month battle with brain cancer. He was born on July 12, 1957, in Cincinnati.

Scott is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Kroeger) Reuter, parents Robert K. Reuter and Gloria (Dickman) Reuter, and brother-in-law Craig Newman. He is survived by his siblings Terence Reuter and Robin (Reuter) Newman and nieces and nephews, Anna, Alec, Steven and Michael.

Scott graduated from Finneytown High School in 1976 and worked as a telephone technician for over 30 years, primarily with Wren Communications. His career took him from Cincinnati to Oklahoma and California, before returning to Cincinnati in 1988, and eventually retiring from Premier Networks in 2014.

In 1992, he married Patricia (Kroeger) Reuter, with whom he enjoyed boating, camping, and taking river and ocean cruises. In retirement Scott spent much of his spare time working on and driving his cars and motorcycles, gathering with friends for dinner or poker games, and visiting breweries in and around the Cincinnati area.

He was an avid traveler who loved visiting Daytona Beach for NASCAR races, Hilton Head Island for biking and walking the beach, and Wellsboro, PA for hiking and solitude. Scott was easy-going and friendly; he never met a stranger and was known for his humor, wit, and love of Little Kings beer.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at UC Barrett Cancer Center, Gateway Springs, and Hospice of Cincinnati who helped him navigate his cancer diagnosis. He was surrounded his entire life and in his final days and months by a close-knit group of friends and family who visited, reminisced, and spent days and nights ensuring Scott was comfortable at the end of his life.
