Scott Merrill of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 55. He was born in Hamilton on January 29, 1970, the son of George and Phyllis Merrill. Two of Scott’s biggest passions were music and photography, which he combined by photographing numerous bands and musicians over the years. He was a master of his craft, always working to refine his art, and even taught classes and led group photo walks where he met many cherished friends. Scott previously worked at Fairfield’s G&W Products. He was also an avid gamer, technology enthusiast, and Texas hold ‘em player. However, above all of that was his love for his family: even during his own time of need, his top priority was always the well-being of those he loved. He will be remembered for many things, but most of all for being a selfless, kind-hearted man who never failed to support those around him when they needed it most. Scott is survived by his wife, Tina Merrill; his son, Brad Merrill; his parents, George and Phyllis Merrill; his siblings, Michele (Jim) Dettone, Mike (Jill) Merrill, and Joe (Connie) Merrill; his best four-legged friend Ray Ray; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. In accordance with his wishes, no funeral services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scott’s name to the Melanoma Research Foundation at melanoma.org. THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, Fairfield is serving the family. www.websterfuneralhomes.com
