It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger "Dale" Johnson, who left us on January 6, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on October 11, 1960, in Laurel County, London, Kentucky, Dale was a vibrant spirit whose laughter and love touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity that will never be forgotten. Dale was the beloved son of John C. and Mattie Kate (Gill) Johnson, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Antoinette "Toni" (Gorman) Johnson, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond since their marriage on August 4, 2001, at The Book of Acts Church in Hamilton, Ohio. Together, they created a loving home for their children: Brandon L. Johnson, Christopher D. Gorman, John (JT) Johnson, and Skylar J. Johnson. Dale was also a proud grandfather to Anica Johnson and Remi Johnson, and he cherished his great-grandchild, Mattie Johnson. Dale's family also includes his brother, Charles "Dean" Johnson, and his late wife, Yvette Johnson. He is further survived by his father and mother-in-law, Thomas V. Jr. and Christine Gorman, as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends who will miss his warmth and humor. A man of many talents, Dale had a diverse career in concrete, construction, sod, and mechanics. He was known for his strong work ethic and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, embodying a spirit of selflessness that resonated throughout his community. Dale was not just defined by his work; he was a lover of life. He enjoyed the company of his five beloved cats—Kiki, Stormy, Cutie Pie, Benny, and especially Bootsie—who brought him joy and companionship. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals, often seen cheering enthusiastically for his favorite teams. Those who knew Dale recognized his characteristic loud, funny, and free-spirited nature. A man who preferred the comfort of being shoeless and shirtless, he embraced life with an infectious joy that encouraged those around him to do the same. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dale's life at Webster Funeral Home, located at 30380 Homeward at Rt. 4, Fairfield, Ohio 45014, on Friday January 23, 2026 from10:00 AM. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ronnie Smith officiating.
