Roger A. Alcorn

Roger A. Alcorn age 74 of West Chester passed away on Saturday March 18, 2023. He was born on June 29, 1948 in Cincinnati the son of the late Orville and Margaret (nee Knox) Alcorn. Roger was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War earning a National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal among other awards. Roger is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Dawn Alcorn; two children Heather (John) Cornelius and Stephen (Kelly) Alcorn; three grandchildren Hunter Matthews, Savannah Cornelius, and Elizabeth Cornelius; five siblings Carol (the late Jeff) Garbutt, Judy (Roy) Crowthers, John “Butch” Alcorn, Peggy (Michael) Saylor, and Douglas (Mary) Alcorn; his mother in law Gertrude (the late Wilbert) Oldendick; five siblings in law David Oldendick, Devin Oldendick, Daryn (Jim) Niehaus, Darla (Joel) Koopman, and Dayna (Tony) Augspurger. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other family, and close friends. Visitation will be on Monday March 27, 2023 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd. Liberty Township 45011 from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00AM with Father Jim Riehle officiating. Burial to follow in Butler County Memorial Park with full military honors.
