Robert Dixon

Robert “Bob” Dixon age 95 of Hamilton passed away May 31, 2026, at Golden Years Nursing Center. He was born April 17, 1931, to the late Robert and Emily (Spivey) Dixon. Bob grew up in Laurel County, Kentucky on the family farm. He served in the United States Air Force. After serving in Korea he returned to London, Kentucky. He married Mary Ann Bowden on November 19, 1954 and she passed away on June 2, 2026. He worked at the Pillsbury Plant in Hamilton. He went on to work at the Hamilton Post Office. Bob retired after 33 years with the Hamilton Post Office. He continued to work at KOI Auto Parts for several more years. Bob enjoyed bible study, travel, westerns and family. Bob and Mary Ann were married for 71 years. Bob is survived by his son Dennis O. (Debbie) Dixon of Felton, Delaware; granddaughters Amy (Bobby) Lunsford of Magnolia, Delaware, Allison (Trevor) Collins of Cincinnati, Ohio, Katie (Dale) Szul of West Chester, Ohio; grandsons Jeff (Ashley) Day of Dallas, Texas and Austin (Fiancé Brittany James) Day of Fairfield Township, Ohio. He also leaves behind several great grandchildren Addison Opalinski and Logan Lunsford of Magnolia, Delaware, Gabby and Quinn Collins of Cincinnati, Clara Day and Emmi Kotrla of Dallas, Texas. Bob was also preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Dixon (Darrell) Day. Combined visitation for Robert and Mary Ann Dixon will be on Tuesday June 9, 2026 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Maggie Trumbull, officiating.
