Robert A. Sellers Sr.

Robert A. Sellers Sr. passed away peacefully on May 1, 2023 at the age of 89. Robert was born February 14, 1934, in Sloans Valley, KY to the late Charlie and Lelia Mae (nee New) Sellers. Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving in the Korean War. After his time in the service he moved to Cincinnati, OH where he met his beloved wife of over 65 years, Ruth. He was a successful business owner and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing guitar, woodworking, gardening, watching sports, and telling stories. Robert had a keen sense of humor, loved animals and was exceedingly generous. He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. (nee Tipton) Sellers; four children, Debbie (Tony) Trotta, Robert (Debi) Sellers Jr., Linda (Mark) Kessler, and Michael (Lisa) Sellers; thirteen grandchildren, Amanda (Warren) Nelson, Nick (Marielle) Trotta, Vinnie (Megan) Trotta, Tony Trotta, Josh (Lindsey) Sellers, Jesse (fiancé Emily) Sellers, Ashley (fiancé Joe Gibbs) Sellers, Jayme (fiancé Heather) Sellers, David (Sara) Kessler, Brandon (Emily) Kessler, Corey Kessler, Kyle Sellers, and Megan (Dan Szmyrko) Sellers; and seventeen great grandchildren, Hailey, Connor, Jack, Leo, Sloan, Rowan, Blake, Palmer, Erica, Julian, James, Maddison, Jayce, Owen, Reid, Avery and Katie. Robert leaves behind his sister, Anna Gibson, and brother, Bernie Sellers, along with nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by seven siblings, Reba Hughes, Emeline Griffith, Carol Sellers, Bill Sellers, Greta Cole, Jim Sellers, and Faye Brown. Visitation will be on Monday May 15, 2023 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 3:00PM until the time of the funeral at 5:00PM with Pastor Rob Sweeney officiating. Burial will take place on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at 2:00PM in Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors. Online condolences can be made at www.websterfuneralhomes.com.
