Phillip Lee Fackler, age 78, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at the VA Hospital in Cincinnati, ОН, where he very lovingly, and tenderly was cared for. He touched many lives in local fellowships of believers, but much more so on the streets, highways and byways throughout his days here on earth. He was born on October 24, 1947 in Lima, OH. He would always say when I asked, "Where do you live? With a response of Lima, OH." This statement in spite of moving 13 times since his lifetime of 56 years in marriage and moving "13 times", most of the 13 because of following the leading of the Lord for where he was to be in service to our God and Lord. He lived a vibrant life as a believer and follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, pastoring three churches, and pastor of evangelism at a fourth fellowship of believers. Wherever he would go he would share the message of the good news of Jesus Christ. His favorite verse was Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4, and Deuteronomy 8:3 "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. For a part of his life, he was literally a "bread man" that worked for various companies. So, in a respect he was giving out both "the physical and the spiritual bread" of life. Phil also was a military veteran, serving in the US Navy serving proudly as a part of the military at the time of the Vietnam War. Phil has been preceded in death of his parents Franklin and Evelyn Fackler, as well as two of his three brothers, Larry and David Fackler. Brent Fackler surviving him. He is survived by his wife, Marcia of 56 years and was blessed to have three children, Wendy, Tricia and Laurie, as well as seven grandchildren, Andrea, Courtney, Katlyn, Zachary, Autumn, Haley, and lan. And also, two great grandchildren, Emmanuel, and Delilah. Phil was a lover of sports, especially football and fast pitch softball. He was on teams of both and followed his family as they participated in the sport of football, especially through his brothers and nephews to cheer them on. He was an avid walker to the finish of his days of 4-8 miles a day. He enjoyed his "Dr. Pepper" and did have a few sips of such at his stint in the hospital stay of 30 days. As he always was sharing the gospel in the 78 years of life, he did in his 30 day stint, in his whispering and small voice, "Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge him in all your ways and lean not on your own understanding, and he shall direct your paths." In essence, Phil loved the Lord and next to Him, he loved his family, and all people that were in his path. He gave his life for the lives of others to come and experience Him who is life, Jesus Christ. Visitation will be on Saturday July 11, 2026 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 2:00PM until the time of the funeral at 3:00PM with Pastor Timothy Sorrell officiating.
