Paula Kay Owens (Jackson, nee Shepard) aged 63 years of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love on June 1, 2026 in Blue Ash, Ohio. She was born in Hamilton on July 29, 1962, the youngest daughter of the late Kenneth and Ethel (Bowman) Shepard. Paula graduated in 1980 from Garfield High School. She worked many jobs throughout the years, most notably at Elder Beerman where she perfected the art of gift wrapping and making the most beautiful bows and Red’s in New Miami, where she enjoyed the community and many friends she made there. She was known for her green thumb, her amazing sense of humor l, and her commitment to her family. On August 25, 2017, she married Tony Owens Sr in Hamilton Ohio. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters; Jaqueline (Ollie) Rhodus, Geraldine (Bob) Payne, and Janice Maupin, three brothers; Ray Shepard, Rudy Shepard and Maynard (Roxanne) Shepard, a niece; Rachel Shepard and two nephews Billy Favorite and Garrett Shepard. She is survived by her husband, Tony Owens Sr, of Hamilton, Ohio, three sisters; Kathy (Jack) Favorite, Virginia (Steve) Scholz, of Lone Rock, Wi, and Barbara (Greg) Williams of Hamilton, Ohio, two brothers; Brad (Nenia) Shepard, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Wayne Shepard, of Hamilton, Ohio. Her three children; Wendy Jackson, of Hamilton, Ohio, Casey (Shell) Jackson, Nathen (Renee) Jackson of Vandalia, Ohio. nine grandchildren; Michael Bladen, Alex (Allison) Scalf, Arielle (Levi) Marsh, Kierstynn (Dalton) Scalf, Raychelle Jackson, Breanna Jackson, Natalie Jackson, Jasmine Templin, and Harley Simpson, one treasured great granddaughter Ava Scalf and an enormous number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Paula will be deeply missed and forever cherished. The family wishes to extend the sincerest gratitude to Hospice of Cincinnati for the delicate and compassionate care they provided for her. Visitation will be on Friday June 5, 2026 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 1:00PM until the time of the funeral at 2:00PM with Pastor Cecil Day officiating.
