Paul E. Sallada, age 103 passed away peacefully on Saturday July 9, 2022. He was born April 18, 1919 in Huron, South Dakota the son of the late Clarence E. and Dena Mae (nee Miller) Sallada. On March 7, 1942 in Wichita, Kansas he married Jane Harvey Sallada and she preceded him in death on December 22, 2013. Mr. Sallada was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in World War II. He served as an elder in several Presbyterian Churches and was currently a member of Covenant First Presbyterian Church. He worked as a mechanical engineer at Fernald and also was the Vice-President at Pleasant Electric. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his family, fishing, and reading. Mr. Sallada also enjoyed traveling and did so extensively. He is survived by four children Paul E. (Sue Ann) Sallada, Jr., David (Becky) Sallada, Marjeane Sallada, and Stephen (Sue DiOrio) Sallada; grandchildren Karen (fiance Jerry Hood) Grayson, Johnna (Todd) Herrmann, Michele (Jerry) Mueller, Katie Ann Sallada, and Derek Miller; and three great grandchildren Jonathan Grayson, Molly Grayson, and Alex Miller. He was also preceded in death by his sister Ruth Bloom and his daughter in law Suzanne Roney Sallada. Visitation at the THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Friday July 15, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow with full military honors in Rose Hill Burial Park.
