Morton Combs, Sr.

Morton Combs, Sr. age 93 of Hamilton passed away Wednesday February 21, 2024 in his home. He was born May 10, 1930 in Manchester, Kentucky the son of the late William M. Combs and Nora Jones Combs. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War, where he was a recipient of 3 Bronze Service Stars. Mr. Combs owned and operated 14 dry cleaner stores, introduced the One-Hour Martinizing dry cleaning technique into the Cincinnati area, and invented a pre-spotter for the dry cleaning industry. He was a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 923 in Ross, Ohio. Mr. Combs was a member of the Blue Grass Rebels band of College Corner, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Oma Combs; four sons Jimmy (Emily) Combs, James E. Combs, Grayson Matthews, and Morton Combs, Jr.; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
