Lula Bartel

Lula Bartel age 86 of Fairfield passed away Friday August 25, 2023. She was born June 7, 1937 in Blackey, Kentucky the daughter of the late Jesse Large and Margie Eldridge Large. She was married to Gerald Bartel and he preceded her in death in 2020. Mrs. Bartel was a manager at White Castle and retired after over 20 years of service. She loved painting landscapes and portraits. She also enjoyed bingo and played 64 cards at a time as well as going to the casinos. She is survived by four children Richard (Bonnie) Back, Stephen (Victoria) Back, Lora Tassone, and Lisa (Mike) Johnson; five grandchildren Nicole (Adam) Burt, Zachary (April) Barlow, Linda Kokenge, Rebecca Kokenge, and Jessie (Emily) Back; ten great grandchildren Jack, Hunter, Marilyn, Jude, Theo, Henry, Hudson, Calvin, Vincent, and Jessie, Jr.; and one sister Cora Sue Hendrix. Visitation will be private. A graveside service will be held at 12:45 PM Wednesday August 30, 2023 in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Blue Ash.
