Lucy Mae Flannery (nee Baker), age 86, of Springdale, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2024. She was born on June 15, 1938, in Jackson County, Kentucky, to the late Elbert and Clemma Baker (nee Gabbard).Lucy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, James Flannery, who passed away on June 22, 2007, and her siblings: Irene Abrams, Ruth Lee Richardson, Robert Baker, Levi Baker, and Zelma Baker. She is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Flannery of Fairfield Ohio and Kimberly Messer (nee Flannery) of Hamilton Ohio, her granddaughters, Ashley Messer and Brand Messer, and two great-grandchildren, Harley and Christopher Taylor all of Hamilton Ohio. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Barbara Brittain (nee Baker) of Springdale Ohio, brother Carl Baker of Springdale Ohio, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lucy was a vibrant woman who brought light to every room she entered. Her infectious smile and warm spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. She worked for Princeton City Schools, spending many years serving the community in both the cafeteria and daycare programs. Lucy’s love story with her husband, Jim, began at Monsanto in Sharonville, Ohio. They married on June 22, 1967, and spent 40 wonderful years together raising their children and grandchildren. She cherished family above all else, and her home was always filled with love and laughter. A visitation will be held at Webster Funeral Home at 3080 Homeward Way, Fairfield Ohio on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 PM. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Ohio. Lucy’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
