Linda L Wanat

Linda (Lin) Wanat, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, age 71, of West Chester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Born in Salzburg, Austria, she was the beloved daughter of Sonja (nee Ranz) and the late Kenneth Lamoreux. Lin loved to travel, especially to Hawaii and Grand Cayman, where her fondness for turtles grew as she dove among them. She found joy in gardening, saving many struggling plants with her green thumb, and was known for her delicious baking, especially her bread and cream puffs. Lin served for years at Vineyard Healing Center, cherishing the friends she made and families she helped. Lin loved her family and pets, especially her dachshunds, but above all her greatest joy was being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment with them. Lin brought God’s love to every life she touched, and she will be dearly missed and remembered for her love, generosity, and unwavering faith. Lin is survived by her devoted husband of over 49 years, E. Robert “Bob” Wanat II; her children Amber Lyons, Daniel Wanat, and Michael (Courtney) Wanat; eight grandchildren: Adellyn, Wesley, Victoria, and Nathaniel Lyons, Geoffrey and William Wanat, and Kailey, and Zachary Wanat, her brother Kenneth Lamoreux, and her mother Sonja Lamoreaux. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Jonathan Lyons, and her father, Kenneth Lamoreux. Lin also leaves behind many other family members and close friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Chapel at Vineyard Cincinnati Church, 11340 Century Circle E, Springdale, OH 45246, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. She will be entombed at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens-Hollywood Hills in California. Condolences can be shared at www.websterfuneralhomes.com.
