Leroy R. Smith

Leroy R. Smith age 83 of Oxford passed away on Thursday June 1, 2023. He was born on September 11, 1939 in Lexington, KY the son of the late James and Mildred (nee Delaney) Smith. Leroy worked as a machinist for many years. He is survived by six children Tammy (Dave) Naylor, Crystal (Butch) Hayes, Arthur (Donna) Smith, Jeff (Jenny) Smith, Sheila Sams, and Tonya Roberts; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other family and close friends. He was also preceded in death by four children Ernie Sandlin, Jack Sandlin, Richard Sandlin, and Mike Sandlin; seven siblings William Stewart, Lambert Stewart, Leland Stewart, Laveda Stewart, Harlan Stewart, Dury (Tip) York, and his twin Norman Smith. THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday June 6, 2023 at Rose Hill Burial Park at 11:00AM with Pastor Minister New officiating.
