Lane B. Myerly, 68, passed away on October 22, 2026.

Laid-back and a man of few words, Lane had a big heart and a quiet way of showing his love.

He appreciated the simple things in life: good classic rock, time spent outdoors, and a little peace and quiet. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening, and made a strawberry pie that was hard to beat.

Lake Cumberland held a special place in Lane's heart. He visited every chance he got and eventually fulfilled his longtime dream of moving there, spending his final years in the place he loved most.

The youngest of five children, Lane was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Lafayette Myerly Jr. and Helena Louise (Willenburg) Myerly; and his four older siblings, Elizabeth Louise "Betty" Pease, Victor "David" Myerly, George "Dale" Myerly, and Mary Walter.

He is survived by his wife, Kathie; his daughters, Jennifer Haas (John), Lauren Jones (Donnie), and Carla Myerly (Michael); and his grandchildren, Helana, Jackson, Poppy, and Eleanor June.
