Kisha Lamora Hemphill

With great sorrow but Godly gratitude the Hemphill family announces the passing at age 51 of our kind, brave, caring, loving, and generous wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Kisha LaMora Hemphill (Maiden name: Turner). Kisha was determined dead at 4:51 pm on October 1, 2023 at Residence at Huntington Court nursing home in Hamilton, Ohio. Kisha dedicated her life to be a fantastic and wonderful wife and mother. She was spiritually founded on biblical principles and had a caring heart for those in need. Born in Washington DC October 4, 1971, Kisha graduated from South Hampton High School in Virginia, 1989. She received her Bachelor degree from Virginia State and then received her Master’s Degree in Counseling at Oral Roberts University in 2000. Kisha grew up in the country area of the town in Drewryville, Virginia. Kisha is survived by her husband (Carlton Hemphill); her children (Jeana A. Hemphill, Carlton A. Hemphill II, and Christina J. Hemphill); her siblings (Daphne L. Hagood, Micshele Y. Hassell, Kristal L. Turner); brother in-law (Curtis A. Hemphill II); parent in- laws (Curtis A. Hemphill, Diane Gardner); and other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kisha was preceded in death by her parents (Ruben B. Turner passed December 2018; Helen I. Turner passed August 2017) Kisha as a child through graduate school lived in Maryland, Virginia, and Oklahoma prior to moving to Georgia in 2000 and then to Ohio in 2010. Kisha met her future husband online while attending Oral Roberts University. So, she moved to the Atlanta area in 2000 because she wanted to be near her future husband, Carlton. Calton and Kisha married on August 4, 2001. Kisha gave birth to three children all born in Decatur, Georgia at DeKalb Medical Center from 2003-2008. In March of 2010 Kisha and the children moved to join her husband in the greater Cincinnati area in Ohio. A Celebration of Life will be held at New Life Vinyard Church, 1701 Princeton Road, Hamilton, OH 45011, Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 12:00 PM. THE WEBSTER FUENRAL HOME is serving the family.
