Kathryn M. Greer

Kathryn M. Greer age 89 of Fairfield passed away Monday March 4, 2024 in her home. She was born September 25, 1934 in Whitley City, Kentucky the daughter of the late Luther Whitehead, Sr. and Elsie Coffey Whitehead. Mrs. Greer was a 1952 graduate of McCreary County, Kentucky High School and worked as a bookkeeper for the Pinkerton Detective Agency. She was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church in Fairfield. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, was a Kentucky Colonel and worked as an Avon Lady for over 25 years. Mrs. Greer was a wonderful Mom and Grandma and will be sadly missed by her family and many close friends. On July 16, 1977 she married Richard Greer and he preceded her in death in 2007. She is the beloved mother of Debra (Roy) Miller and the late Gerald (Diana) Newman; three grandchildren Amber Langevin, Brandon (Adriana Jimenez) Stuhlmueller, and Christopher Langevin; step children Cathy (Randy) Hobson and Terry Jo Greer; one brother Howard (Mae) Whitehead; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Greer was also preceded in death by her siblings Luther Whitehead, Jr., Betty Sue Whitehead, Harold Whitehead, and Leamon Francis Whitehead.
