John A. Wake

John Anthony Wake, age 92, of West Chester, OH, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026. He was born on June 14, 1934 in Ashburnham, MA, the son of the late Michael and Georgieanna (nee Vachowski) Waskiewicz. John was married to Lillian Wake, and she preceded him in death in 2015. John was a veteran of the United States Army. He earned a BS in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnical Institute. He then went on to earn his MBA from Clark University. John worked for Cincinnati Milicron and then went on to be the CEO and President of the Board at Western States Machine Company. He enjoyed sailing, woodturning, photography, and traveling with his RV club the “Mini Winnies.” He was also a member of the Young at Heart Club at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. He is survived by five children: Mark (the late Beth) Wake, Cheryl (Dr. Thomas) Khoury, Marie (David) Wake-Johnson, Susan (Donn) Coe, and Sandra (Dr. Craig) Christenson; eight grandchildren: Zachary (Christina) Wake, Ryan Wake, Jonathan Wake, Thomas (Rebecca) Khoury, John Khoury, Dr. Caroline (James) DiBiagio, Lane Christenson, and Kate Christenson; and three great grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other family, and close friends. John was also preceded in death by two siblings: Michael Waskiewicz and Ann Lepkowski. Visitation will be on Friday, June 19, 2026 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, West Chester, OH 45069 from 10:30AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:30AM.
