John T. Halcomb

John Tillman Halcomb age 95 of Hamilton passed away on Tuesday August 13, 2024. He was born on February 2, 1929 in Scoville, KY the son of the late William and Nancy (nee Hale) Halcomb. John retired from Western States Machine Company after over 40 years of service. He was a longtime member of McGonigle Millville Methodist Church. John was also a member of Washington Masonic Lodge #17 and Order of Eastern Star #195. He is survived by his loving wife of over 74 years Nevaline Halcomb; two children John “Tim” T. Halcomb and Melody (Stephen) Coombs; six grandchildren Amy (Travis) Young, Thomas (Amy) Coombs, Jaymie (Sean) Dickson, Danny Halcomb, Tyler Gore, and Cody; seven great grandchildren Evan, Ellie, Braylen, Adalynn, Brantley, MacKenzie, and Layla. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other family and close friends. John was also preceded in death by six siblings Ray Bruce Halcomb, Dudley Halcomb, Edward Halcomb, Hasseltine Henderschot, Erma Sackenheim, and Stella Harmon. Visitation will be on Monday August 19, 2024 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral at 12:00PM with Pastor Ed Beck officiating.
