John H. Lewis, age 85 of Fairfield, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026. He was born on September 15, 1940 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late Henry and Noisha (née Brown) Lewis. He graduated from Hamilton High School and the University of Cincinnati. John worked 35+ years at Hamilton Tool/Stevens Graphics. He then purchased and ran an electrical contracting business, Geselle Electric, with his partner for 20+ years. He was a member of Fairfield Church of Christ.  John was a member of the Free Masons, Scottish Rite. John enjoyed many things in life including time with his grandkids, time spent in Marco Island, Florida with Barb, and tennis. John is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of over 64 years, Barbara (nee Fletcher) Lewis; three sons, Jon (Philomena) Lewis, Matt (Jennifer) Lewis, and Mark (Shawna) Lewis; eight grandchildren Jonathan (Kristen) Lewis, Jason (Taylor) Lewis, Jewelia (Sawiaha) Ellis, Matt (Drew) Lewis, Nicole (Mark) McNall, Justin (Emma) Lewis, Wanwo Lewis and Jin Jin Lewis; eleven great-children Jackson, Katie, Jameson, Avery, Taytum, Eloise, Matthew, Jack, Josie, Adeline, and Lucy. Mr. Lewis also leaves behind many other family members and close friends. John was preceded in death by his sister Saundra Schatz. Visitation will be on Friday, May 8, 2026 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way, Fairfield, OH from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral at 12:00 PM.
