Chalk, James (Mark) age 70, of Wayne Township, passed away January 19 at his home as the result of a farm machinery accident. He was born to Everett & Lillian (McCaffery) Chalk of Trenton on August 15, 1947. He graduated from Trenton High School in 1966. In 1968 he was introduced to Linda Dietz by a mutual friend. Mark & Linda were married at Holy Name Parish in Trenton March 20, 1970. They were blessed with over 44 years of marriage until her death in 2014. Mark retired from AK Steel in 1998 and later worked for Liberty Township. Through the years Mark enjoyed raising cattle, volunteering with the St Vincent de Paul Ministry at Holy Family Parrish, woodworking, hiking, and traveling the United States. He led a life of faith, kindness, and compassion for others and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his children Jaime (Tad) & Josh; brother Dale (Alfa); in-laws: Jo Chalk; Carol (Nick) Foreman, Peggy (Skip) Zins, Mike Dietz, & Tim (Velma) Dietz; companion Barb Robinson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brother; William Chalk. Visitation 5:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday January 23, 2018 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4 Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10 AM Wednesday January 24, 2018 at Holy Trinity Church 201 Clark St. in Middletown.
