James J. Gross

James J. Gross age 75 of Hamilton passed away Friday April 10, 2026 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 21, 1950 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of the late Raymond and Freda Gross. He was married to Edna Gross and she preceded him in death in 2019. Mr. Gross worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed music and was known as a man with great Christian faith. He also enjoyed getting on a tractor and cutting grass. An accident left him paralyzed yet he stayed active playing wheelchair basketball and participating in marathons with his son Jimmy, which gave him a purpose in life. He is the father of Maria (Bobby) Dill, Annette (Monty) Hagenschneider, Margie (Randy) Hajer, Ginger (Art) Link, Jimmy (Sandy) Gross, the late Sonny Caudill, the late Johnny Caudill, and the late Michelle Gross; also surviving are seventeen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, and siblings Candy Marionos, Michelle Gross, Kim Hammons, Raymond Gross, Jr., Edward Gross, Phillip Gross, and the late Joseph James Gross. Visitation 5-7 PM Thursday April 16, 2026 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield.
