James E. Dalton age 67 of Middletown was called to be with his Lord and Savior suddenly on Wednesday July 29, 2026. He was born on October 10, 1958 in Middletown the son of the late James C. and Phyllis (nee Highley) Dalton. James was former pastor of Charles St. First Church of God and the former associate pastor of Poasttown Church of God. James was a devout Christian who always put God first. He retired from Don Wright Realty after 30 plus years of service. James was a man of many things, a jack of all trades most would say. He was loved by so many. Mr. Dalton loved life and was such a huge family man. He loved all his kids, his wife and grandkids and so many more. Jimbo loved hanging out in his boat with friends to fish. He was a huge Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan. James is survived by his wife of over 50 years Mitzi Dalton; two daughters Tami (Roy) Fondren and Deena (Brad) Crum; four grandchildren Cameron Fondren, Grayson Fondren, Machaila Crum, and Olivia Clum; one sister Karrie (Bill) Warfield. He also leaves behind many other family and close friends. He was also preceded in death by his son James E. Dalton Jr. THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family. Visitation will be on Tuesday August 4, 2026 at Poasttown Church of God 6376 Germantown Rd Middletown 45042 from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral at 12:00PM with Pastor Bill Patrick officiating.
