James C. Mayo age 79 of Fairfield passed away Tuesday September 13, 2022. He was born July 28, 1943 in Elsmere, Kentucky the son of the late William and Pauline (nee Massengale) Mayo. Mr. Mayo owned and operated Mayo Lawn Care for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Marlene Mayo; two children Robert (Tracey) Mayo and Monica (Ron) Hite; three grandchildren Jake (Maria) Mayo, Chelsea (Colin) Newton, and Connor Hite; three greatgrandchildren Rylinn Mayo, Violet Mayo, Owen Mayo, and one on the way; two brothers Joe (Joanie) Mayo and Frank Mayo; and three sisters, Sharon (K.C.) Thomas, Barb, and Jenny. Mr. Mayo is also survived by many other family members and close friends. At Mr. Mayo’s request there will be no formal services.
