Ida Riffe

Ida Riffe, 68, passed away on April 6, 2022 at home (unexpectedly) from natural causes. Ida was born on September 7, 1952 in Waco, TX. During her childhood her family moved often and lived in many states while her father served in the military. As adulthood approached, Ida built her life and began to raise her children and played a huge role in the upbringing of her niece and nephews. She later became a strong and selfless nurse’s aide who touch ed the lives of many patients during her 28 years of service at the Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Later in life, Ida and her children relocated to Ohio where she spent her remaining years. Ida was preceded in death by; her parents, Raymond and Billie Riffe, her Nanny Lucille Riley, her grandparents Peter B. Riffe and Salarah Maude, her sister, Laura Riffe and dear friend Stephanie Stinsen. Ida is survived by her sons, Timothy Riffe, James (Lynda) Kelley, Carlos Reese and daughter, Melissa Riffe. Ida was a proud Nana to her grandchildren: Aliyyah Riffe, Amir Riffe, Fantasia Mejia, Kadin Mejia, Ca’Raii, Reese, Carlos Reese Jr., CeVeon Reese, Maddie Gutierrez, Meliyah Riffe, and Lucas Riffe. She leaves behind a sister, Elizabeth Riffe and a loving and devoted friend, Loyce Loper. Ida leaves behind several great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives. Ida’s caring attitude and bright smile will be missed across the US by all the lives she touched over the years. Even though her body took her away from this world, her loving heart left a beacon of light for all left behind. Ida was a devout Christian and had a close relationship with the lord. It was very widely known by all who knew her that she held her devotion to Christ to a high regard. Ida’s friends and family are picturing her glorious welcome home party in heaven. A visitation will be held on Saturday April 16, 2022 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 12:00PM until the time of the funeral at 2:00PM with Pastor Tyler Green officiating.
