Hugh R. McCord

Hugh R. McCord age 79 of Fairfield passed away on Sunday July 5, 2026. He was born on February 25, 1947 in Cincinnati the son of the late Allen and Mary (nee Norton) McCord. Hugh was a combat veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam. He was also a charter member of Hilltop Baptist Church in Fairfield. Hugh worked as master jet engine mechanic at GE for many years. He is survived by his loving wife Judith McCord of over 20 years; three children Kelly (Dennis) Johnson, Christopher McCord, and Carey (Stephanie) McCord; seven grandchildren Sarah (Ronnie) Caudill, Alex Johnson, Madison Johnson, Taylor McCord, Shelby McCord, Joshua McCord, and Charlotte McCord; two great grandchildren Raelynne Caudill and Canaan Caudill; one sister Linda (the late Jim) Wallin. He also leaves behind many other family and close friends. Visitation will be on Friday July 10, 2026 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 10:30AM until the time of the funeral at 11:30AM with Pastor Barry Wilson officiating.
