Gloria Mae (Chaney) Allen, 92, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 29, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born November 1, 1933, to the late Jess and Lula (Wilson) Chaney and was one of nine children.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Phillip “Ed” Allen; her parents; and six siblings. She is survived by her sisters, Becky and Jeanette; her children, Roy “Michael” (Gina) Allen, Lisa Hennessey, and Ronald Guy (Venita) Allen; her stepsons, Bill and Phil Allen; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and dear nieces Carrie (Allen) Wilson and Joyce Wells. She also had a host of nephews and nieces, too many to mention.
Gloria and Ed owned and operated Allen’s Market in Hamilton for 63 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, golfing, bowling, playing dominoes, sewing, and antiquing. Gloria attended First Pentecostal Church and Maineville Holiness Church, where her son, the Rev. Mike Allen, served as pastor.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 4, 2026, at Pentecostal Faith Church, 30 Cain Ave., Hamilton, Ohio. Family visitation will be from 1 to 1:30 p.m., with the service beginning at 1:30 p.m. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Mike Allen and Pastor Stephen Allen.
