Gerald W. Gillespie

Gerald W. Gillespie (Jerry) age 83 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away at Woodland Country Manor on Monday June 1, 2026. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 5, 1943, to the late William and Edythe (Isaacs) Gillespie. He graduated from Talawanda High School in 1961. After several years as a union carpenter, Jerry chose the work he loved. He loved farming and the independent lifestyle it provided. He loved the sight of a newborn calf, the smell of freshly plowed ground and the smell of freshly cut hay as it cured. Gerald is survived by his brother Marvin Gillespie. Gerald was also preceded in death by his brother David Gillepie and sister-in-law Helen Mary Gillespie. His family and friends express their gratitude for the care and kindness of the staff at Woodland Country Manor. At Jerry’s request and his planning, a private funeral was planned. Interment will be at the Venice Cemetery next to his brother David. THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, Fairfield is serving the family.
