George W. Merrill, Sr.

George W. Merrill, Sr. age 88 of Hamilton passed away Tuesday March 10, 2026. He was born April 18, 1937 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of the late Delmas Merrill and Agnes Elliott Merrill. On June 23, 1956 he married Phyllis Still. Mr. Merrill worked for several years in retail management. He was a member of the Fellowship Christian Center. He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Phyllis Merrill; father of George “Skip” (Marilyn) Merrill, twins Michele James) Dettone and Michael (Jill) Merrill, Joseph (Connie) Merrill, and the late Scott Merrill; grandchildren Eric (Sara) McKeown, Kelsey (Bobby) Reifenberger, Chad (Kaela) Merrill, Nicholas Merrill, Bradley Merrill, Brooke Coons, Brenne Merrill, Joshua Merrill, and the late Myranda Merrill. Mr. Merrill is also survived by ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by several siblings. Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Tuesday March 17, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Houston Marcum, officiating.
