Ethel Ann King

Ethel Ann King, 75, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away on August 25, 2026. She was born on April 29, 1951, in Greenup, Kentucky, to the late Estil and Nina (Bush) Justice.

Ethel was a sweet, loving, and caring woman with just the right dash of sassiness. She loved her family more than anything and was truly the glue that held her family together. Her home and her heart were always filled with love, laughter, and memories. Ethel was a faith-filled Christian who loved going to church and praising Jesus’ name. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she carried that love and devotion with her every day. She cherished spending time with her family and friends and especially loved being a grandma and great grandma. She was a wonderful cook and loved bringing people together around good food. She enjoyed playing cards—and she especially loved it when she won! She loved shopping, particularly yard sales and thrift stores, and could spend hours looking for a good bargain. Ethel loved watching her favorite game shows, cracking jokes, and joking around with her beloved sister, Thelma. Her laughter, sassiness, and sense of humor will be deeply missed.

Ethel is survived by her loving husband, Marshall Lindsay King; her children, Vincent Lee King, Denice Renay King, and Shonda (Scott) Gilbert; and her grandchildren, Zachary Hale; Mariah and Cody Allen; Brittany and Dylan Thomas; Elizabeth King; and twins Cameron and Alexis Solomon. She was a proud great-grandmother to Oliver, Wyatt, Jackson, Dawson, Nevaeh, and Grayson, and she will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her beloved great-granddaughter, Gracelynn, who will forever be remembered and loved. She is also survived by her sister, Thelma Louise (Justice) Long, nieces, nephews along with many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Estil and Nina Justice, Ethel was preceded in death by her son, Marshall Ray King; her brother, Albert Wayne Justice; and her brother-in-law, Bill Gene Long.

Ethel’s love, faith, laughter, strength, and sassiness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was the heart of her family, and although her absence leaves a tremendous hole in their hearts, the love and memories she created will live on through every generation. Her family finds comfort knowing that she is now at peace, in the presence of her Savior, Jesus, and reunited with those she loved who went before her.

Visitation will be on Thursday September 3, 2026 at the Webster Funeral Home, 3080 Homeward Way, Fairfield, Ohio starting at 4:00PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 6:00PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the beautiful life of Ethel Ann King and share in the memories of a woman who was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
