Luttrell, Dorothy Seale

91, of Fairfield Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 15th, 2025. She was born April 5th, 1934, the daughter of the late Claybourne and Margaret Seale Dix. On February 9th, 1952, she married Charles Andrew Luttrell. Dorothy was a graduate of Miami University with a BA in Education and then an educator with the Hamilton City Schools for over 43 years. She literally taught well over a thousand students in her Kindergarten classes from the mid 1960’s, until her retirement in 2008. Dorothy loved to travel and had many “adventures” as she called them. She visited most of the states in the United States, as well as several foreign countries. She was an avid fan of cruises on luxury cruise ships, traveling on more than a dozen cruises, over the years, to various ports and islands. She was a season ticket holder at the Aronoff Center for the Arts for many years, attending with friends and family for plays and shows. Dorothy also was a lover of animals of all kinds, but particularity, cats. She had several cats to keep her company after her husband passed away in 2022. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Luttrell, her parents, and her brother, Don T. Dix. She is survived by her sons: Steven A. (Patty) Luttrell, Charles C. (Lisa) Luttrell and Donald B. (Nicole) Luttrell. Sisters: Betty (Joe) Dente, Shawnee (Bob) Averitt and Frances Jane Dix. Grandchildren: Rand (Lindsay) Stewart, Nici (Kevin) McClurg, Eric (Tamara) Brann, Nathan Luttrell, Steve (Jen) Gabbard, Nick Brann, Brandi Luttrell and Zane Luttrell, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation Saturday August 30, 2025 at The Webster Funeral Home 3080 Homeward Way at Rt 4 Fairfield from 12:00pm until the time of the memorial service at 2:00pm.
