Dorothy R. Amos

Dorothy R. Amos (Dottie) age 95, of Fairfield, OH passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022. She was born April 30, 1927 to the late Frank Thompson Sr. and Norma Bruner. She was one of four children. Wife of Calvin Dewey Amos, who she married in New York, NY in 1946. Mother of two daughters, Norma and Lee Ellen. Grandmother of three, Shawn Marie Amos, Jeffrey Mak and Laura Bamberger. Three great grandchildren Zachary, Alexander, and Samantha. Dorothy was a court reporter, an IRS criminal investigations secretary, and in her later years a caregiver. Her wit and her sharp sense of humor kept us laughing. She was loved and will be dearly missed. She was widowed in 1966 and was the last surviving of her siblings Frank Jr, Lucy, and Faye. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter Shawn Marie, and daughter Norma (Tootie). She's survived by her daughter Lee Ellen, grandchildren Jeffrey and Laura. Great grandchildren Zachary, Alexander, and Samantha. Nephews Doug and Jamie, and many extended family of the Boehnleins, Bambergers, and Nolans. THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
