Demcie Peters

Demcie Peters age 86 of Hamilton passed away Saturday January 31, 2026 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 26, 1939 in Lee County, Kentucky the son of the late Hugh Peters and Isie Brandenburg Peters. He was married to Bernice Peters and she preceded him in death in 2024. Mr. Peters worked for many years as a butcher at Hamilton Provision Company. He attended Darrtown Baptist Church. He loved nature and watching the squirrels and birds. Mr. Peters loved spending time with his family and was especially fond of his special great granddaughter Addi. He used to say “If everybody just did their part, the world would be a better place”. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the Hospice Team Caregivers for their kindness and compassion. Mr. Peters is the father of Vicky (Allan) Frisk, Gregory (Debbie) Peters, Jeannie (Scott) Lawrence, Debbie Gutierrez, and the late Pam Lampa; also surviving are several grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren; and siblings Denvard Peters, Morris (Theresa) Peters, Sylvia Begley, and Myrtle (Ron) Gay.
