Darrell C Hobbs

Darrell C. Hobbs born February 15, 1953 in Jackson County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of Sunday October 12, 2025. He is survived by his two sons; Lester Hobbs (and family), Michael Hobbs (and family), two brothers; Ron Hobbs (and family), Blynn Hobbs (and family), and sister Lucille Ballard (Hobbs and family). He will be missed and remembered by many more family and loved ones. Darrell drove a truck for many years but retired from Gold Medal Food Products. He spent his free time doing whatever he wanted. Going down to the river to feed the ducks, or to sit at the park watching squirrels. He loved playing cards but hated losing. He would impress everyone with his magic tricks. Darrell never hesitated to lend a hand if you needed help, and he never made you feel bad for asking. He wasn’t one to complain about things unless it was the cost of a cell phone bill of spending too much on a funnel cake. He left a void impossible to fill but we can and will remember him, tell his stories for him now and tell our own stories about Darrell. Gone but never forgotten.
