Connie Butler

Connie Sue Langford Butler, age 75, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at her home in Fairfield. Connie was born on July 1, 1946 in Somerset, KY to the late John Luther Langford and Gelea Whitis Langford. She is survived by her husband, John (Chip) Butler, whom she married June 23, 1972; one daughter, Bobbie Nicole Butler of Fairfield; one brother, Charles Filmore Langford of Somerset; two sister in laws, Sandra Clark Langford and Pamela Butler Marcum (Kent); one nephew, John Roland Langford (Allison); two nieces Kelly Marcum Harper (Derick) and Teresa Owens; three great nieces, Ashley Dawn (and Aaron) Jones, Allisha Langford (and Connor) Fearer, and Sara Brittany Harper; three great nephews John Charles Langford, Christopher Cody White, and London Harper, and one great grandniece, Remiel Jones. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Filmore and Ophelia Randall Whitis, her paternal grandparents, Thomas Benton and Mary Angeline Loftis Langford and her brother, John Thomas Langford. She had worked as a 4H extension agent, a cooking class instructor at Everything Microwave, and as a sales associate at Macy’s for over 30 years, until she retired in 2018. At her request, there will be no visitation. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest with her family in Shopville, KY.
