Carolyn Trimble

Carolyn Trimble age 80 of Melrose, KS passed away on Wednesday March 8, 2023. She was born on October 7, 1942 in Texas City, TX the daughter of the late Carl and Sue Trotter. Carolyn was a schoolteacher for many years, teaching in several different states. She was married to Rodney Trimble Sr, and he preceded her in death in 2021. She is survived by five children Donald (Evelyn) Trimble, Rodney Trimble Jr, Erin (O.C.) Trimble, Karin Trimble, and Steven (Starla) Trimble; seven grandchildren Daniel Trimble, Brittany Baiza, Wyatt Trimble, Olivia Trimble, Trae Wilson, Rena Smith, and Alyssa Rogers; seventeen great grandchildren Gavin Trimble, Connor Trimble, Riley Trimble, Jaydyn Walker, Gage Walker, Kingzley Baiza, Nevaeh Rice, Tymberlynn Rice, Harlan Smith, Behr Smith, Taygan Trimble, Kodi Trimble, Paisley Timble, Drake Rogers, Aria Rogers, Memory Castorena, and Annaley Castorena; two siblings Joyce (the late Raymond) Kaemmerling and Charles Trotter. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other family and close friends. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Ashley Castorena. Visitation on Friday March 17, 2023 from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM at the Forbes Funeral Home, 605 Locust Street, Chetopa, Kansas 67336, with burial to follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
