Betty Jo Hartman Profile Photo

Betty Jo Hartman was born October 3, 1942 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of the late Thurman Nickell and Lucille Perkins Nickell, with her family roots from Kentucky. She passed away on Thursday April 11, 2024. Betty had a happy childhood with loving, hard working parents. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in New Carlisle, Ohio. She married Edward Hartman on January 28, 1967. Betty and Ed had two boys Travis and Todd and she was a devoted wife and a caring mother. She loved gardening and taking pride in her family and home. Betty’s love of people showed in her loyal and close friends. She was a woman of character and would say if you’re going to do it, then do it right. She was devoted, loving, caring, inspiring and her attribute of determination was her strongest-tell her she could not do something- she’d show you she could. She lived for God and kept her faith to the end. She will be sadly missed. She loved to travel and she and Ed we able to see the world- her favorite country was Ireland because her heritage came from the Dublin area. Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years Edward Hartman; two sons Travis S. (Melissa) Hartman and Todd A.
