It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barb Lee (Greene) Wooton, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world unexpectedly on November 17, 2025. Born on February 13, 1955, Barb was the daughter of Bernard and Betty Greene, who preceded her in death, leaving a legacy of love and joy that she carried throughout her life.
Barb attended McAuley High School. Her laughter and fun-loving spirit were evident to all who knew her. She dedicated many years to bringing smiles to the faces of others while working at Deaconess and Mercy Hospitals. Her compassionate nature and warm heart made a lasting impact on patients and colleagues alike.
Barb's greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Arnold Wooton, who stood by her side through every twist and turn of life. Together, they raised her children, Billy "Doc" (Brande) Wieland and Brian (Cari) Wieland, as well as stepsons, Sean and Ryan Wooton. Barb was also a proud grandmother to an awesome bunch of grandkids: Mackenzie, Sebastian, Bella, Bayze, Avery, Bridge, Tyler, Sarah, Dakota, Sierra, Nikuya, Jayden, and Jaelynn. Grandma was their number one fan and supported them at their events, games, and competitions, always cheering from the sidelines with infectious enthusiasm. Barb was also blessed with five great-grandchildren.
Barb was the beloved sister of Beverly (Tracy) Childs and Barry (Kathy) Greene. She shared a special bond with her siblings and took great joy in being an aunt to her nephews and nieces: Trey Childs, Barry (Michelle) Greene, and Holly (Pete) Holt. The family gatherings, filled with laughter, music, dancing, and swimming will remain cherished memories for those who knew her.
Barb loved music, dancing, and baking, often filling her home with sweet aromas and awesome treats. She loved to root on her hometown faves- her Reds & her Bengals! Her life was a celebration where laughter rang out and memories were made with family and friends.
Barb's visitation will be held at Webster Funeral Home on Tuesday December 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM where family and friends will gather to celebrate a life well-lived. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM.
Preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Betty Greene, and her daughter-in-law, Shawna Wieland, Barbara's legacy of love will continue to thrive through her family. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, the impact she made on our lives will forever remain and we look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.
