Athel E. Weddle, age 91 of Morrow, Ohio passed away on Wednesday October 21, 2026. He was born on March 4, 1935, in Ingle, Kentucky to the late Finley and Myrtie (Pitman) Weddle. He shared 66 beautiful years of marriage with the absolute love of his life Maude (Davidson) Weddle, building a legacy rooted in devotion, family, and deep-seated kindness. He was extremely supportive of his children and grandchildren by attending most of their sporting events and any other activities in which they were involved. As the cornerstone of his family, he was always reaching out, keeping everyone connected, and ensuring each generation knew they were deeply loved. A master of his craft, he spent his career as a skilled machinist and tool maker, bringing precision, hard work, and dedication to everything he created. He carried that same work ethic into his community as a proud member of the Reading Terraqua Club. He found great peace and joy in the beauty of the outdoors, but his greatest joy was found in service to others. He was a man who truly never hesitated to lend a helping hand, offering his strength, his tools, and his heart to anyone in need. His spirit lives on in the family he cherished, the lives he touched, and the quiet beauty of nature he loved so much. He will be deeply missed, but his warmth and legacy will never be forgotten. Athel is survived by his wife Maude, his children Randy Weddle, Steve (Sheree) Weddle and Sheila (Jim) Brockschmidt, his grandchildren Steven Webster, Stephanie Weddle, Sarah (Jayme) Fox, Amanda (Tim) Lawless and Katie (Jade) Wheeler, his great grandchildren Kale, Xavier, Dallas and Blayke. Athel is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Athel was also preceded in death by his siblings, Estes, Lawrence, Arnold, Curtis, Hubert, Inza, Blondell, Beatrice, and Thelma. Visitation will be at Morrow Baptist Church, 5876 US-22, Morrow on Monday October 26, 2026, starting at 3:00PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 5:00PM with Pastor Jeffrey Bryan Officiating. Burial will take place in Cedar Point Cemetery, Kentucky on Wednesday October 28, 2026 at 1:00PM. THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, Fairfield is serving the family.
